Mountain Village 1890 is the most actively haunted ghost town in the nation. Comprised of nearly a dozen authentic 19th century structures, all furnished and adorned just as they were while in use. The average age of these structures is 140 years old, with the oldest being built 180 years ago. These buildings were constructed by hand, using the most basic of tools, and had little-to-nothing in the way of modern conveniences. They have seen the full range of human emotions, and some have seen both birth and death. The Village stands atop a 350 million year-old network of caverns that has seen human activity for over 3,000 years and the land itself has seen war, famine, disease, and countless other tragedies. All of these elements come together to make an atmosphere that is more than conducive for ghosts and hauntings.
Guests of the Mountain Village 1890 Haunted History Tour are guided by an experienced paranormal investigator who shares with them the history of each structure, and tells them all about the ghostly activity that has taken place there. Several of our guests have even left with paranormal experiences of their own. All-Nighter
Later in the night guests will be treated to an exclusive feature; the Haunted History Tour of the Bull Shoals Caverns. The Bull Shoals Caverns are a breathtaking wonder. 350 million years in the making, it contains nearly every cave formation known to exist. It also has about 3,000 years of human history which include its use as shelter, fresh water supply, Civil War mining operation, bootleg moonshine operation, hideout, storage facility, and more. The cave is nearly as rich in history as it is iron deposits. Much of its storied history has also lent itself to hauntings and other strange activity. The All-Nighter is the only time people get this very special tour.
The Mountain Village 1890 Haunted History Tour: All-Nighter is your opportunity to spend a night in the most actively haunted ghost town in the nation and get some one-on-one time with an experienced paranormal investigator. The All-Nighter begins with a guided tour of Mountain Village 1890. After that, guests are free to explore the Village on their own. They can revisit each structure, or spend time in their favorites.
After touring the Caverns, guests will be treated to a traditional hot dog roast and fireside chat with our paranormal investigator tour guide. This is a great opportunity to exchange stories with other guests and make new friends. Hot dogs, soda, and other refreshments are provided free of charge, and the coffee pot will be going all night, for those who need a little pick-me-up.
